Lindis Lodge

Remote Luxury Pod Accommodation for Lindis Lodge
Brosnan delivered four unique luxury pods to complement the client’s Lindis Lodge in the remote Ahuriri Valley, McKenzie Country. Each pod features high-spec stopsol glass for 180-degree mountain and valley views, cedarwood cladding, and interiors finished with rich timber joinery and imported bluestone tiling.
Constructed offsite in Christchurch, the pods were transported 440km to the site, with meticulous planning required for cranage and access across rough terrain and challenging weather. Brosnan established temporary access tracks and designed additional structural strengthening to facilitate both transport and future relocation. The installation coincided with the lodge’s winter shutdown, minimising guest disruption. After construction, the surrounding area was fully restored to its natural state, leaving no trace of the works.
Brosnan’s attention to detail and collaborative approach were highly praised by the client, and the project team received an NZIOB award nomination for their efforts in delivering this technically complex, remote accommodation solution.
