Marshland School

Located in a growing suburb, Te Rito Harakeke / Marshland School needed more space to support its increasing roll. Brosnan delivered a new classroom block with four large teaching spaces under a design and build model, managing the full project lifecycle. The project was split into two phases: initial design, including outdoor areas, landscaping, and siteworks, and construction, from earthworks to handover.

Special attention was given to challenging ground conditions, with a robust foundation solution developed in collaboration with consultants. The team maintained close communication with the school, arranging early site visits and keeping staff updated throughout. Construction was carefully managed in an operational environment, with a temporary access road created to separate site traffic from students and staff, enhancing safety and efficiency.

The project was completed on budget and one month ahead of schedule, allowing the school to move into the new block over the term one holidays. The building is now well utilised by local students.
