Redwood School

Live school redevelopment
The Te Kura o te Rakau Whero/Redwood School project involved asbestos removal, demolition of classroom blocks, and construction of two new teaching blocks, all within a live school environment. Additional works included refurbishing the hall, administration building, and classrooms, as well as landscaping and building a new playground.
Works were staged to keep the school operational and minimise disruption. Infrastructure upgrades and asbestos removal were scheduled during holidays, requiring tight coordination to meet critical milestones. Early procurement of long-lead items ensured continuity from day one. Strong communication and collaboration between Brosnan and the school meant challenges were resolved quickly and safely.
The project was completed on time and on budget, with a high-quality finish and excellent safety outcomes for students and staff.
