This apartment blocks involved in this $1.6m recladding project were originally constructed from concrete columns, beams and floors and clad in Harditex. The Brosnan team tackled the issues by stripping the cladding, replacing deteriorated timber, plus the removal and/or refurbishment of aluminium joinery. This was then followed by installing nibs on decks, re-screeding and tiling of the decks and recladding.
However, the biggest task facing the team, especially in the early stages of taking on the project, was the building of trust and confidence of the Body Corporate and the residents as a result of the fact that the original contractor had been declared bankrupt, leaving the project unfinished.
Brosnan Construction was also mindful of the safety and continued comfort of the residents who remained in situ during the remediation, which helped greatly in delivering a successful outcome.
